This blog will resume activity in a fortnight, when we return to the road. At present we take a break in a posh resort with limited internet access - now we are forced to RELAX.

In the evening, Bettina got busy with heavy cooking: she forgot that one is not allowed to bring any fresh fruit into California. Now we've got cooked apples and mandarins in the freezer for our daily muesli.

My friend, the plan: We are planning to follow the blue line and potentially stop at the golden stars. No rush, no hurry, only retirement.

After lunch in an Irish Pub, we ended up in a place called Brookhollow, 39 miles north of Portland. Neat place, heavily recommended by Dave, whom I - reluctantly - believed that it is a good place to stay. Well, there hasn't been a big choice available; nothing else was close by and we had it with driving today.

Oh, I almost forgot, it's still raining. And raining.
